The Sonoma Valley High varsity girls water polo team and the football team have earned the North Coast Section (NCS) Scholastic Championship Team Award for fall 2018. This award is presented to the top three NCS varsity teams in each division. The girls water polo team won in Division 2, while the football team won in Division 4. “Since there are 179 schools in NCS, this is an outstanding achievement,” said Mike Boles, Dragon athletic director. “Congratulations to our varsity girls water polo and varsity football student-athletes, as well as water polo coach Matt McGinty and football coach Bob Midgley, as well as parents, faculty, staff, and assistant coaches who contributed to this worthy accomplishment.”
