The Lady Dragon water polo team, making their first appearance in the North Coast Section playoffs in years, Wednesday fell to Justin-Siena 13-7, in opening round play.
The loss ends the Lady Dragons’ season.
According to Coach Matt McGinty, Abby Parr and Grace Turner each had a pair of goals while Sofia Portello, Erica Lee and Hannah Wales each had a goal.
“The girls did extremely well making the playoffs for the first time in a long time,” McGinty said. “It’s sad that they lost.”
McGinty said he’s proud of the team and that they finished the season with a good feeling.
He said a number of both the boys team and the girls team will be playing club water polo this winter. “I’m looking forward to next season,” he said.
