Sophomore setter Ella Perkins made 19 serves with 2 aces and no errors, including a stretch of 10 straight points in the second set.

“In the third set, I went to the bench to get some of the younger players some experience,” said coach Brian Perkins. “They did well and held of the Wolves for the win.”

The victory gives the Dragons a 3-4 overall record and a 1-1 mark in the Vine Valley Athletic League. Their next opponents are the Vintage High Crushers in a league game at 6 p.m. today, Tuesday, Sept. 17. The Crushers currently have a 7-3 record, 1-0 in the VVAL.
