Sonoma’s Lovin Oven to expand product line

Rotary grant to make expansion of services possible.|

Teen Services recently received a grant of $6,895 from Sonoma Valley Rotary for its Lovin’ Oven product-and-service-line expansion.

Currently, the Lovin’ Oven micro-business provides snacks – cookies, granola, etc. at the Teen Center and for sale at Operation Bicycle – a full dinner meal each week for homeless clients of Sonoma Overnight Support, weekly boxes of cookies for customers of local businesses, holiday pies and additional menu items including light appetizers, lunch and desserts for local nonprofit and business events.

The revised business plan is dubbed “Lovin’ Oven Plus” and includes new products and an expanded customer base. Two additional businesses, Silveira Chevrolet and Umpqua Bank, are receiving Lovin’ Oven cookies. Its teens continue to cook for Sonoma Overnight Support, and recently provided service at the annual SOS Mother’s Day luncheon and the Crab in the Cave dinner sponsored by the Glen Ellen Rotary.
