Emerson College student Gemma Guerrazzi, who is majoring in communication studies, was recently nominated for the Television Academy Foundation’s 39th College Television Awards for her work on Emerson’s EVVY Awards.

Guerrazzi grew up in Glen Ellen and graduated from St. Francis elementary school in 2011 and Justin-Siena High School in 2015.

Emerson’s annual EVVY Awards highlight outstanding student work. The EVVYs is the nation’s largest student-run, multi-camera, live award show in the nation.

Guerrazzi helped the show earn a nomination in the “variety” category of the 2019 College Television Awards, which honor excellence in student production. “Attending the College Emmys in Los Angeles was an amazing experience,” Guerrazzi said.

During her time in Boston attending Emerson, Guerrazzi produced the “Good Morning Emerson” show. She also was a production intern for “Antiques Roadshow.” She is currently an intern on the “Conan” show in Burbank and at Discovery Studios. She will graduate in May.
