Sonoma Valley High School Boosters crab feed set for Saturday

The Sonoma Valley High School Boosters will serve dungeness crab with an evening of entertainment at the 2014 Super Bowl Eve Crab Feed and Dance on Saturday, Feb. 1 in the Sonoma Valley Veterans Memorial Building, 126 First St. W.

The event begins at 6 p.m. with a no-host cocktail hour, silent auction and interactive games, followed at 7 p.m. by a buffet dinner of fresh cracked crab, Caesar salad, dessert and coffee, and dancing from 8:30 until 11 p.m. to The Scallywags.

The live auction during dinner will be “brief and spirited,” according to veteran auctioneer Ed Vaughn. Lots include a tour of Pixar Animation Studios, fireman’s lobster boil, trolley tour and dinner at Gundlach-Bundschu Winery, premium SVHS graduation seating, dinner in the Benziger wine caves, and a bartender-for-a-day experience at Mary’s Pizza on the Plaza. All proceeds help Boosters support sports, clubs and extra-curricular activities for more than 80 percent of SVHS students.

Dinner tickets are $65, and tables for 10 with complimentary wine and service are $750. Dance-only tickets will be sold for $10 at the door after 8 p.m. Buy tickets online at sonomavalleyhigh.org, or call 241-3268.
