If you are unsure what books are popular with middle school kids, you only have to step into Readers’ Books on East Napa Street to see recommendations from local students.

Sixth-graders from Ellen Gruenhagen’s and Eric Wanous’ classes at Adele Harrison have created book review brochures that can help folks choose the perfect title for the young people in their lives.

Readers’ Books partnered with Adele’s middle school writing center to showcase the student brochures.

Some of the books reviewed by the Adele students include “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,” This Book is Not Good for You,” “The Hunger Games” and “Divergent.”

The middle school writing center program is funded by the Sonoma Valley Education Foundation.
