Smoky skies linger in Sonoma County due to the Camp fire: Check current air quality levels

The deadly Camp fire in Butte County is now a week old.|

As the deadly week-old Camp fire in Butte County continues to burn, air quality is still a concern for many in Sonoma County.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, people who have heart or lung diseases, older adults and children are most likely to be affected by smoke.

Ways to protect yourself include: keeping indoor air as clean as possible, shutting windows and doors; avoid activities that increase indoor air pollution including burning candles; and wearing a respirator mask labels N95 or N100, dusk masks commonly found at hardware stores will not protect you.
