Santa Rosa police still are looking for a Santa Rosa chiropractor who disappeared last spring on the eve of his conviction for molesting women and teen clients.

Darius Bunyad, 38, failed to come to court in early March for the jury's decision, convicting him of 14 felonies, including sexual battery, annoying or molesting someone under age 18 and battery. The convictions carry a maximum prison sentence of eight years.

The conviction followed a two-week trial with a series of women and teens testifying he'd had them take off their clothes in front of him and that he'd groped them.

Bunyad was last seen March 8, in Walnut Creek and in Santa Rosa on March 9, police said. The man is the father of a young son. Family members don't know where he is, according to police.

Bunyad, who also is known as Daryoush Mohammad Bunyad or Dan Bunyad, is 5-foot-10, 185 pounds. Santa Rosa police last week released a photo of him and a news release that he remained at large, hoping someone will help with his capture.

Bunyad is wanted on a no-bail arrest warrant.

Officials asked anyone with information to call police on the wanted tip line at 707-543-4170.
