Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley has chosen the Sangiacomo family as its 2019 Sweethearts for the wine clan’s longtime commitment and multi-generational support for the youth of Sonoma Valley.

Angelo and Diane Sangiacomo, Buck and Sue Sangiacomo, and Lorraine Sangiacomo make up the second generation following Mike and Whitney Sangiacomo, Steve and Connie Sangiacomo, and Mia and Mike Pucci.

B&GC staff cited the family’s dedication of time, talent and resources to the Club, as well as to Sonoma Valley Hospital, the Mentoring Alliance and Education Foundation and St. Francis School, as the driving force behind the honor.

“The Sangiacomo Family could not be more deserving of the recognition,” said Cary Dacy, president & CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs, in a press release announcing the family’s selection. “The ‘Sweethearts’ demonstrate a commitment to improving the lives of children and teens through leadership, volunteering and financial support.”

Each year the clubs’ board of director’s nominates a “Sweetheart” for their leadership and outstanding contributions to the youth of Sonoma Valley through the Boys & Girls Clubs.

The Sweetheart Gala & Auction will take place on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019. The event is the most important fundraiser of the year for the club.
