Sonoma workforce housing input sought

Bay Area Council Economic Institute survey open through late September|

The Bay Area Council Economic Institute is conducting a survey on North Bay Workforce Housing through the end of September. The survey is regional and addresses both housing and transportation issues.

The point is to survey the workforce as opposed to only employers – though employers are encouraged to answer as well.

Rebuild Northbay Foundation Executive Director Jennifer Gray Thompson said the goal of the survey is to get a sense of the current constraints as well as the desires of the workforce.

“We need more information as to what workforce wants and needs according to age, income, sector,” she said. “Whatever we do now will affect our housing stock for decades to come.”

The survey is anonymous and will be used to inform public and private sector decision-makers. It was developed by the Bay Area Council Economic Institute and is being distributed in partnership with the Rebuild North Bay Foundation and North Bay Leadership Council.
