A brutal early August attack on the campus of Maria Carrillo High School has resulted in the arrests of four local teens, including three young women who are suspected in an assault of a female victim that included use of a Taser stun gun, Santa Rosa police said.

Investigators believe the incident stemmed from a confrontation over social media posts made by the victim, police said.

They say a teenage boy brandished a handgun to warn bystanders to stay out of the fray.

The incident, reported to police Aug. 8, unfolded three nights earlier in the high school’s parking lot, though it’s unclear if any of the participants attend school there or once did.

Police said the victim was there talking with friends when she was approached by a group of females and one male who confronted her. The male reportedly flashed the gun and warned those in the vicinity not to try to protect the victim.

The victim was then surrounded by at least four female suspects who punched, kicked and stomped her while she was on the ground. One also used a Taser to her head while she was down, police said.

The victim, whose name has not been released, lost consciousness and suffered injuries to her face and body, as well as a burn marks on her head from the stun gun.

Police said gang references and comments about the color the victim was wearing were made during the incident, which was captured on video by several witnesses.

In the weeks since, investigation has resulted in the arrests of Aliyah Baker and Assata Polk, both 18-year-old Santa Rosa residents, on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, police said. They did not say when Baker and Polk were arrested.

In addition, detectives who served a search warrant Wednesday on a Fulton address believed to be the home of the involved male arrested a 17-year-old boy and a woman who was there, 18-year-old Kinsasha Lovvorn, of Santa Rosa, in connection with the case.

Police seized both a 9 mm handgun and a Taser from the Bisordi Lane house, both believed to have been used in the assault.

Lovvorn and the younger suspect were arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm and possession of cocaine for sale, as a result of drugs found at the scene, police said. The boy’s name has been withheld because he is a minor.

Detectives are still looking for additional suspects and say a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of participants is available through the Sonoma County Alliance Take Back Our Community program.
