Prestwood kindergarten teacher Kristi Draluck gave her students an edible lesson in solar energy earlier this month. In their classroom experiment, radiant energy from the sun reflected off the silver lining of a Pringles container and concentrated on the hot dog inside. The radiant energy is converted into thermal energy, or heat. Her students finished the experiment by eating the Pringles chips with their hot dogs.
