Sonoma student tries out for America’s Got Talent

Sonoma Valley High School freshman Lora Fredlund, 14, traveled to Los Angeles on Feb. 3 to try out for the reality TV show, “America’s Got Talent.” Lora sang “Warrior” by Demi Lovato in her 90-second audition and described the demo as an exciting, nerve-wracking experience.

“She sang her heart out and did not falter one bit,” said her mom, Tricia Fredlund, who accompanied Lora to the audition.

“She seems as if she was born to do this,” added Fredlund. She added that whether Lora makes it to the next round or not, it was an “amazing” experience. Lora will find out in mid-March if she is on to the televised auditions.

The next season will air on Tuesdays on NBC beginning in May.
