Sonoma hosts Learn to Homebrew Day on Nov. 3

The members of the Sonoma Valley Homebrewers Club will offer beer-making demonstrations and discuss homebrew methods with the public this Saturday, on national “Learn to Homebrew Day.”

The American Homebrew Association established Learn to Homebrew Day in 1998 to introduce people to what the association calls the “easy-to-learn, but challenging-to-master” art of making beer. This is the fourth year the local club has participated.

The 20th anniversary Learn to Homebrew Day will take place at Depot Park, rain or shine, on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The public can talk to local home brewers as they craft their own lagers, ales, sours, and stouts. The event is free.

The Sonoma Valley Homebrewers Club meets on the third Tuesday night of each month. New members are welcome. For more information, email svbabrewing@gmail.com.
