A group of dog lovers in Sonoma has launched a website and a series of events to encourage local dog-owners to socialize with their pets.

The group is organizing a 'Yappy Hour' from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14, at Hopmonk Tavern in Sonoma.

Well behaved dogs on leash are welcome with their owners to enjoy appetizers and beverages, both canine and human, and will have a chance to meet other dog families in Sonoma Valley.

Would you like to get more off-leash space for dogs? Enjoy fun activities with your dog? Support dog related causes? That's what SVDOG is all about. SVDOG is a group of fun-loving dog owners looking to add more 'dogsters' to its pack so they can make Sonoma a better place for our canine friends and their guardians, says Lee.

Space is limited. RSVP as soon as possible to info@svdog.org

To keep up to date on all the activities organized by Sonoma Valley Dog Ownwers and & Guardians, visit its website at svdog.org or like it on Facebook page.
