LGBTQ Connection is offering a free LGBTQ training for professionals that serve Latino and Spanish-speaking youth and families (other interested community members are welcome, too) on the afternoon of Wednesday, Sept. 26 in Sonoma. Space is limited, register at https://bit.ly/2Qfh9VA.

Sonoma Valley’s LGBT seniors meet monthly and this Friday, Sept. 21, the group will host a discussion led by Shad Reinstein and Jody Laine about the history of the LGBTQI community of Sonoma County from the 1960s through the 1990s.

Reinstein and Laine will present an LGBTQI timeline that includes Wohler Beach and a lesbian bar in Guerneville in the late 1960s.

“Take a walk down memory lane and see if you can add something new,” says club organizer George Bereschik. “Maybe you’ll see something you’ve been involved with.”

After the meeting, the group will meet for lunch at Palms Grill.

For more information, call Gary “Buz” Hermes 227-6935 or Janice Farrell 415-608-5792.
