Sonoma County students head back to school next week.

As parents scramble to the mall for kids' last-minute back-to-school outfits and supplies, we'll take our time machine back to the Swinging Sixties to catch a glimpse of school days past.

From beehives to bell-bottoms, the 1960s witnessed a change in societal norms and fashions from the buttoned-up conservatism of the 1950s to the long-haired rebellion of the 1970s.
