Sonoma’s Trashion Fashion delights and disarms

There were two sold out shows and a half-dozen award winners.|

Trashion Fashion returned to Sonoma last weekend with two sold-out shows at the Veterans Memorial Building.

Hundreds cheered on dozens of models of all ages as they walked the catwalk in the eighth annual event put on by the Sonoma Community Center.

“This year the designers really outdid themselves,” said Margaret Hatcher, special projects manager for SCC. “

The quality, thematic brilliance and eye popping creations were funny, heartwarming and jaw dropping.”

The grand-prize-winning outfit, “Clean Sweep,” was designed by Alexa Wood and Joni Derickson and modeled by Lauren Benward-Krause.
