Handmade gifts ideas at all price points.|

For those looking to buy handmade items this holiday season, Sonoma Community Center offers its annual holiday studio sale. The sale kicks off on Friday, Dec. 7 with an opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m. and runs through Saturday, Dec. 8 and Sunday, Dec. 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.

Bigger than ever this year, 40 local artists will be selling crafts and art in all price ranges with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Sonoma Community Center’s art programs. Shoppers will find affordable holiday gifts for the home and garden, gallery-worthy paintings, sculptures and holiday themed ornaments. Prices range from $5 to $500.

Shoppers will find pottery, handmade clothing, jewelry, purses, totes, hand printed cards, prints, paintings, drawings, and sculptures.

“Finding one-of-a-kind, locally made gifts create a more a meaningful holiday experience,” said SCC Director of Ceramic Kala Stein. “Buying direct from the artist provides a unique shopping experience that benefits the artists, the local economy and the studios at the Community Center.”

Families and individuals are invited to tour the studios and meet the artists, many of whom teach at the center or who work in its studios.

The Ceramics Studio will be open for tours and there will be demonstrating artists both Saturday and Sunday.
