Friday, Dec. 15

LGBT fun: LGBT seniors are hosting a holiday gathering and white elephant gift exchange from 10 a.m. to noon on Dec. 15 at Vintage House on First St. E. All are welcome. After the meeting, everyone is invited to a no-host lunch at Palms Grill. For more information, call Gary 'Buz' Hermes 227-6935.

Train exhibit: The Depot Park Museum has reopened and its holiday train show runs from noon to 4 p.m., on Dec. 15 to 17.

Posada Festival: Prestwood Elementary School invites the community to its second annual Posada Festival from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15. There will be homemade Mexican food, Salsa music, carnival games and prizes and a performance by Ballet Folklorico.

Saturday, Dec. 16

Caroling: The 16th annual 'Caroling with the Clydesdales' will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Dec. 16. Meet at the Jack London Saloon in Glen Ellen. Santa will be in attendance and there will be cookies and hot chocolate.

Candy Canes: Sonoma Valley Fire and Rescue is hosting a candy-cane making event from 9 a.m. to noon on Dec. 16 at at 13445 Arnold Dr. in Glen Ellen. RSVP at evite.me/xg43e6Wnd2 or call Fire Captain Gary Johnson at 849-4994.

Santa: Santa will be at Sonoma Marketplace on West Napa St. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Dec. 16.

More Santa fun: The Boys & Girls Clubs are hosting a free holiday party, open to all, from 1 to 4 p.m. on Dec. 16. There will be holiday gift wrapping, gingerbread houses, rock climbing, holiday karaoke and more, plus cookies and cocoa.

Tuesday, Dec. 19

Santa in the Springs: Republic of Thrift is hosting Santa Claus in the Springs at 3 p.m. on Dec. 19. Pictures with Santa are $5 and will benefit the Altimira Leadership Program, as well as 10 percent of the evening sales. There will be a 10 percent discount on all merchandise. Cookies and cider will be served.

Friday, Dec. 22

Sonoma Valley seniors are invited to enjoy a festive sit-down holiday dinner on Dec. 22, previously held on Christmas Day. Full service dinner starts at 3 p.m. and free transportation is available thanks to volunteer drivers from the LIMO program. Volunteer drivers from the Kiwanis Club of Sonoma Plaza will deliver meals to those not able to join on site. Reservations are required to attend or have a meal delivered. Call Vintage House at 996-0311 before Dec. 15 to make a reservation.

Holiday productions

Music: The Free Spirits Gospel Choir, vocal trio the Quixotics and hula guest Betty Ann Bruno, will perform at Sonoma Community Center's 'Holiday Spirits' concert at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 17.

Sonoma Community Center and the Valley of the Moon Chamber Ensemble are having an evening Gala concert at Jacuzzi Winery on Dec. 16 and a holiday benefit concert, 'Spreading Joy,' at St. Andrews Church on Dec. 17. All proceeds will benefit the Community Center's arts and cultural education programs. Tickets are available online at sonomacommunitycenter.org.
