Here’s a retro recipe for a little fun from Lucille Ball

Never thought of as a great cook, although she tried, Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz had some favorite dinners at home. She might be best known for her hilarious “I Love Lucy” chocolate factory episode.

Here is Lucille Ball’s recipe. Try it if you dare.

Sunday night Goulash

Ingredients:

2 bunches of green onions, chopped

2 large green peppers, chopped

½ clove garlic, chopped

2 pounds ground beef

1 large can solid packed tomatoes

½ pound small egg noodles

Salt and pepper to taste.

Preparation:

Sauté onions, green pepper and onion until tender. Brown meat in butter (not mentioned), then add sautéed ingredients. Add tomatoes with juice and simmer slowly. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Cook pasta according to package directions.

During last 30 minutes of cooking, add the cooked and strained noodles.
