Creative Sonoma has announced the lineup of presenters for its Next Level Music Industry Conference, scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 10 at the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts. The conference, themed “Expanding Boundaries,” will help Sonoma County musicians look beyond what may appear to be limits on their creative careers. The conference speakers include Cliff Goldmacher, Hank Neuberger, Joe Barham and Isabelle Garson.

Cliff Goldmacher of Sonoma and Nashville will open the conference with a live-remote recording session featuring a Sonoma County songwriter whose song will be recorded live at Luther Burbank Center with backing musicians streamed in from a studio in Nashville. Goldmacher is a songwriter whose work includes collaborations with Keb Mo’, Lisa Loeb, Mickey Hart and Kesha.

Grammy-winner Neuberger has produced more than 90 live webcasts for music events including Coachella, Bonnaroo, Outside Lands and Austin City Limits. According to Creative Sonoma, he will lead a discussion in “maximizing recording opportunities whether an artist is recording a live set in a club, on stage at a festival, or at home in your garage studio.”

Music manager Barham will discuss new and reinvented revenue streams that are available for musicians to weave together a career from licensing and merchandising to touring and partnerships. Barham has worked as a music director, music supervisor, talent manager, and is currently heading up music partnerships for Patreon, the online music-membership community.

Sonoma County native Isabelle Garson will lead a session on expanding connectivity as a musician by maximizing social media content, shaping one’s digital image, and growing a regional fan base for successful touring. Garson is currently the chief creative officer of Second Octave Media and has previously worked in the tech sector, with national entertainment promoters, artists and event organizers as a strategist, content creator, and digital marketer.

The early bird registration deadline for the conference is Jan. 31. For details, go to CreativeSonoma.org/NextLevel.

Creative Sonoma is a division of the Sonoma County Economic Development Board.
