When images and videos of wildfires blare from screens around the world, people might get the idea that California is nothing but a hellscape.

But for many in the affected communities, their homes are still their homes. So many people don't realize that only parts of places burn, and residents need to rebuild - to do that, they need the same visitors and tourism that they've always gotten.

With that idea in mind, Visit California, the nonprofit that helps bring travelers to the state, has launched the #CALove project with the Red Cross.

The goal is to help “restore the destination's well-being and promote a message of restoration following the recent wildfires affecting the state,” according to Visit California.

The groups released a video Tuesday, which includes stars like Sofia Vergara, Josh Gad and Joe Manganiello, as well as Gov. Jerry Brown, reminding people of what California has to offer.

The groups hope is that the #CALove message will spread across social channels, encouraging others to visit California, as well as donate to the American Red Cross to provide support to affected communities.
