There will be an artist roundtable discussion on Saturday, Nov. 10 on the topic of art and resilience with artists Alan Crisp, Erick Dunn, and Brian Fies, and poet Ed Coletti, all of whom lost their homes in last year’s fires. They will tell their fire stories and share how their art making and writing practice has impacted their lives and “altered their paths to wholeness.”

Nick Dalton and Dr. Robert Macy of the Hanna Institute will moderate the discussion. The event is free and intended to provide the community with a unique perspective on the power of creativity in the wake of devastating loss.

The roundtable is presented in conjunction with the current SVMA exhibition: “From Fire, Love Rises: Stories Shared from the Artist Community.” The discussion is at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10 at the museum.

Free with admission.
