Political Satirist Will Durst headed to Sonoma

Exploring ‘The Durst Case Scenario’ on Oct. 25.|

Political satirist Will Durst is returning to Sonoma on Thursday night with “The Durst Case Scenario: Midterm Madness.”

The new show explores how America is changing under the Trump presidency.

In this lightning-paced 85-minute comedic satire, Durst describes “this strange new world where every day without a mushroom cloud is a victory.”

Will Durst has performed steadily in the San Francisco area and beyond since 1981 – over 35 years of one-night stands and, occasionally, steady gigs. His forte has been political humor which, as he says, “must mean he’s in hog heaven these days.”

The Oregonian has called Durst, “the thinking man’s comedian.” Author of four books, he has told jokes in 16 countries, racked up 800-plus television appearances and released five CDs.

His new show details the anxiety of “never knowing when the president will strike the flint that shoots a spark to light the fuse to Armageddon.” Prepare to meet the funny side of defiance.

The show is 7:30 p.n., Thursday, Oct. 25. Tickets are $25, available online at sebastianitheatre.org.
