‘Mapplethorpe’ to screen in Sonoma

Outwatch Wine Country’s LGBTQI Film Festival includes local screening on Oct. 19|

“Mapplethorpe” is the unflinching look at the life of acclaimed photographer Robert Mapplethorpe – from his rise to fame along with best friend rocker Patti Smith in the 1970s to his untimely death from AIDS in the 1990s, at the very height of his career.

The film will screen at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19 at Vintage House as part of the wider Sonoma County Outwatch Wine Country’s LGBTQI Film Festival this weekend.

There is a suggested donation of $10.
