Shakespeare Under the Stars returns for the season outdoors in the fountain courtyard at Buena Vista Winery beginning on Wednesday, Aug. 8.

The Sonoma Avalon production, “Two Gentlemen of Verona” by William Shakespeare is about sassy servants and young lovers making bad decisions.

The Avalon Players cast includes Aaron Bremner, Don Mahoney, Graham Durfee, Matt Behrman, Miranda Williams, Nick Grgich, Heather Wallace, Alex Garber, River Behrman, and Lanny and Darriel Arnott.

Artistic director and Sonoma Avalon Players founder Kate Kennedy is well known to locals for her years of bringing “Shakespeare Under the Stars” performances first to Gundlach-Bundschu Winery and now to Buena Vista.

Additional performances run through Aug. 12, and continue on Aug. 15 through 19.

The gates open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m.
