Sonoma native Jeff Falconer, who has been practicing meditation for over half a century, has distilled his practice down to the essentials. Although his process is still ongoing, he has shared his style of meditation with two new books, “This Timeless Breath: Simple Guide to Sitting Meditation” and “This Step Home: Simple Guide to Walking Meditation.” He will discuss his books and his process at Readers’ Books at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 8.
Falconer is also leading a Walking Meditation event from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 17 at Jack London State Park in Glen Ellen. Space is limited, to register online go to jacklondonpark.com/mindful-walk.htm.
He will begin the journey with a brief overview of walking meditation, followed by a short standing meditation to ground and center walkers before embarking.
