With spring training underway, and the inaugural Pacific Association of Professional Baseball season on the horizon, the independent minor league Sonoma Stompers Baseball Club is currently playing exhibition games in preparation for its season opener.

The Stompers will start the 2014 season on Tuesday, June 3, when they face the 2013 PAPB division champion San Rafael Pacifics at Albert Park in San Rafael.

Sonoma's home opener takes place Tuesday, July 1, at Arnold Field, where 33 home games during July and August will be played.

The Stompers, who recently signed two pitchers – Cardoza Tucker, a 29-year-old right-hander and 10-year veteran of pro baseball, and 23-year-old right-hander and former San Diego Padres prospect, Will Scott, also have signed Sonoma Valley High School graduates and star prep and college players, Tommy Lyons and Jayce Ray.

Sonoma Stompers season tickets, starting at $3 a seat, are currently on sale at stompersbaseball.com or eventbrite.com/e/2014-sonoma-stompers-season-tickets-33-home-games-tickets-11232656177.
