Inn 2 Remember bed and breakfast at 171 W. Spain St. is for sale for $3.49 million.

The white Victorian inn is located just one half block from the Plaza. It is comprised of two houses built in 1869 and 1905, totaling seven bedrooms and seven and a half bathrooms. The Inn is furnished with French farmhouse antique furniture and it is being sold furnished.

The main house is 2,996 square feet and contains three bedroom suites, one of which is the owner’s quarters. A detached structure in the back has another four suites. It is located on about .25 acre. Most of the suites have decks and private entrances. The space boasts high ceilings and several fire places, and several of the suites include small outdoor areas and gardens.

The Inn has been owned and operated since 2013 by an Italian couple named Paulo Adriani and Alice Ottolitri. Other previous owners of the property include Leslie Wallner and Larry Barnett.

The bed and breakfast was previously called the Thistle Dew Inn and was run by an innkeeper and brother/sister pair of Janice Rafiq and Gregg Percival from 2003 to 2010. The siblings believe the inn was the first licensed bed and breakfast in the city of Sonoma.

According to listing agent Tina Shone of Sotheby’s Realty, Adriani and Alice Ottolitri did a lot of work on the property, including redoing the landscaping and changing most of the furniture.

Shone said the couple is staying in Sonoma, just shifting their focus to another business.

She added that the house could remain as a six-room B&B or be reverted into a private residence.

“Properties like this don’t come up very often that close to the Plaza,” said Shone. “Being so close to town, the bike trail and the Overlook trail, the location is supreme.”

An Inn 2 Remember will remain open while it is on the market.

Rooms range from $145 to $355 depending on the season and availability.
