A new yoga studio opened in Sonoma on Tuesday. Denise Salvo and business partner Douglas Ratcliff have opened Noble Yoga in a bright, airy 2,200-square-foot space in Vailetti Plaza on Highway 12.

Noble Yoga occupies the north building in the new barn-style shopping complex that opened in late October. Its neighbors include North Bay Credit Union, Operation Bicycle and the soon-to-open Cielito Ice Cream and Café.

Salvo, who previously owned Bungalow 313 downtown, said that she has been looking for a location to open a yoga studio for the past two years.

She doesn’t teach yoga herself, but has brought on board several local teachers and the studio will be open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., offering beginners, hatha, vinyasa, heated flow, hot vinyasa and restorative yoga, as well as pilates and Spanish classes.

Some of her local teachers and staff include Sheila Martin, Jes Williams, Leslie Giovanni, Lila Taff, Yasabella Richard, Megan Hansen, Heidi Cullen, Paul Martinez, Madeline Schwartz, Sally Mitchell, Teitzah Karys and Heather Jordan Beare.

Salvo plans to schedule baby and toddler classes, after-school classes, private and group classes. Noble Yoga offers both memberships and drop-in options.

Noble Yoga’s 750-square-foot yoga store is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. It sells clothes, gifts, equipment, candles, drinks and snacks and picnic items.

The two studios in the space have 27 foot ceilings and Salvo says she is excited to “elevate the yoga experience in Sonoma.”

The drop-in class fee is $20, and $15 for locals. There are opening specials: one month unlimited classes for $75 and a five-class package with mat for $80.

“People are so excited that there is something on this side of town,” said Salvo.
