Closed: As planned, Jordan Kivelstadt officially closed his winery's Glen Ellen tasting room last week. He said he can't wait to open the doors of their new location at 22900 Broadway in the former Schellville Grill on lower Broadway. Seed business booming: Sonoma bulb and seed company Marde Ross reports that business is booming and has tripled in the past two years. 'The COVID-19 stay at home mandate sent many out into their backyards,' said Ross. Her business is based in a warehouse on Riverside Drive and she has recently expanded her team. Collaboration: Out In The Vineyard is partnering with a different winery owner/vintner each week for #WineWednesday. Gary Saperstein is calling it a 'Swirl in Place' virtual wine tasting. Participants have included Passaggio Wines, Corner 103, Viansa Sonoma, Three Sticks Wines and Chateau St. Jean. outinthevineyard.com. In another collaboration, Sangiacomo Winery has collaborated with Sweet Pea Bake Shop and Anne Appleman Flowers to create Mother's Day gift sets for pickup in Sonoma. They're back: Steiners and the Swiss Hotel opened for takeout this week and Dirty Girl Donuts and Scandia Bakery plan to reopen with curbside pickup on May 1. Ramekins also re-introduced its weekly Pizza & Pinot nights for takeout. Both the Watmaugh and Kenwood strawberry stands are open. Sunflower Caffe plans to reopen May 7 for takeout.

Supporting the arts: Sonoma County's Creative Sonoma program has developed a new marketing tool for the creative community promoting virtual events at CreativeSonoma.org/event.

Defying the order: The Napa Register has reported that the owners of the downtown Napa art gallery Quent Cordair Fine Art plan to reopen this week, publicly defying the county's order that non-essential businesses remain closed during the COVID-19 pandemic. 'We're prepared to risk fines, arrest or jail,' said the couple in an open letter to the public. But they told the Register that they are 'facing financial ruin' if the gallery can't reopen.

Moving: Laurel Glen Winery tasting room space in Glen Ellen at 969 Carquinez Ave. is available for lease. According to winery staff, the plan is to move to a different location in Glen Ellen. The 2,000-square-foot space, just off Arnold Drive, behind the Garden Court Cafe, is available for $36/SF/year, negotiable.

For sale: The site of the former Napa Moore's Restaurant on the Napa River in Carneros is currently for sale. Included in the $2.5 million price is the restaurant building plus 40 acres at 6 Cuttings Wharf Road.

For sale: Now fully rented, the Oscar Building at 18590-18594 Sonoma Highway is up for sale for $1,995,000. The space is four units totaling 4,315 square feet, across from Fiesta Plaza and Sonoma Cinemas. There are two apartment and two commercial spaces.
