Sonoma’s 10U Little Leaguers seek North California title

Tonight’s Northern California State Championship tournament game in Gilroy will be live streamed.|

Fourteen of the city’s best Little Leaguers have spent this week at the Gilroy Sports Complex, battling their way through the Northern California State Championship tournament.

Last night, the team secured a win against McKinleyville with a close 3-2 score. Tonight they take on Union Little League at 6:30 p.m. The game will be live streamed here (download the Game Changer app to watch) for those who can’t make it to Gilroy.

It’s a double elimination tournament, and with one loss already, tonight’s game has high stakes. If they win tonight, they will take on Canyon Creek tomorrow night. The champion game is expected Saturday.

The team includes: Weston Ariza (#10), Paul Beale (#24), Xavier Fabela (#21), Greysen Giarritta (#1), Wylder Gilardi (#11), Parker Green (#99), Henry Lawrence (#2), Dean Meroney (#8), Matteo Padilla (#52), Channing Perez (#42), Grady Rogina (#27), Cash Stoner (#33), Lincoln Subaie (#26) and Jackson Weaver (#9). The coaches are Casey Rogina, Will Subaie and Clark Stoner.
