The Hanna Center has partnered with the Sonoma-based sports club Stack Basketball, beginning with a single-day camp on Sunday, Oct. 15. The cost is $65, but scholarships are available.

The partnership comes as the Hanna Center relaunches its recreational sports program with year-round sports which includes partnerships with Sonoma Community Tennis and SwimAmerica Sonoma.

“We are very excited about this partnership and the Stack Basketball program,” Hanna Recreation Manager Joe Petersen said in a press release. “We firmly believe that providing consistent and high-quality programs for our community will have a positive and lasting impact.”

Nick Guillory, the program director for Stack Basketball Club, expressed optimism about the community impact of a partnership with the Hanna Center.

“We are thrilled to partner with Hanna Center to bring more basketball and youth development opportunities to the valley,” Guillory said in a press release.

Guillory and Stack Basketball will utilize the Hanna Center Gym for the Oct. 15 camp to welcome fifth- through eighth-grade students across the North Bay, specifically targeting youth in Petaluma, Sonoma and Napa.

Petersen said the camp is an exciting step for the recreation program at the Hanna Center and its mission to support the local community.

“Stack Basketball is dedicated to this endeavor, and we are excited to be a part of the growth and success of this program and serving these athletes,” Petersen said in a press release.
