Babe Ruth All-Stars are champs

All 3 teams to compete for state championship|

For the first time in many years, the Sonoma Valley Babe Ruth All-Star teams made it a clean sweep this weekend as all three teams combined to go 8-1 and each won their District 2 Championship.

Each team will be competing in the state championships starting this weekend. If any team advances beyond the state championships this week, they would advance to the regionals and finally to the World Series.

The 15-year-olds will be competing at the Baylands Athletic Center in Palo Alto with the regionals being held in South Lake Tahoe and the World Series in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.

The 14-year-olds will compete at Historic Clark Field in Woodland with the regionals in Surprise, Arizona, and the World Series in Glen Allen, Virginia.

The 13s will be playing at the Belmont Sports Complex in Belmont with the regionals being held in Vernal, Utah, and the World Series in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

The District 2 Champion 15-year-olds are Brady Armitage, Ricardo Cab, Jason Chiotti, Nolan Dunkle, Dom Fiorito, Kody ?Garcia, Greg Kenton, Jacob Melendez, Will Natuzzi, Claude Pepe, Riley Phelan, Tucker Pierce, Tanner Rozema and Trevor Velarde. The manager is Luke Dunkle with coaches Johnny Armitage, Clay Dunkle, Curt Dunkle and Jim Hess.

The District 2 Champion 14-year-olds are Dax Adams, Jake Baker, Adrian Buckley, Joe Costanzo, Colin Dewees, Kaden Griffith, Ryan Hengehold, Gio Hernandez, Lucas Martindale, Dustin Pierce, Jamison Pierce, Hank Schoeningh and Anthony Tommasi. The manager is Rich Blanchard and the coaches are John Blanchard and Charlie Tolbert

The District 2 Champion 13-year-olds are Justin Borgnis, Anthony Carranza, Adam Duffield, Madden Edwards, Jayden Filippi, Christian Hernandez, Josh Hernandez, Ashton Kirby, Ben Mallett, Jasper Ray, Gavin Rognlien, Robby Sangiacomo, Nolan Verdu and Nick Zeiter. The manager is John Casey and coaches are Craig Ray and Kenny Amoroso.
