Voting is now underway in Sonoma County, where all registered voters were sent mail-in ballots in early October.
Mailing in your ballot
Voters may return their ballot through the U.S. Postal Service using the no-postage necessary envelope included with each ballot. Additional postage is not required.
In order to be counted it must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received at the Registrar’s office by Nov. 20.
Dropping off ballots
Ballots can be mailed to or dropped off at the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters, 435 Fiscal Drive, Santa Rosa. Voters may also drop off their ballots at one of three dropbox locations in Sonoma Valley:
• Glen Ellen Fire Station, 13445 Arnold Drive, Glen Ellen
• Kenwood Fire Station, 9045 Sonoma Highway, Kenwood
• Sonoma Valley Regional Library, 755 W. Napa St., Sonoma
These drive-through ballot drop boxes can be used through 8 p.m. on Nov. 3, when polling places will close.

If you did not receive your ballot, or wish to track that a completed ballot has been received, visit WheresMyBallot.sos.ca.gov.
In person voting
Early in-person voting is available right now only at the Registrar of Voters Office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
In-person voting in Sonoma Valley will span a four-day period this year, from Saturday, Oct. 31 through Tuesday, Nov. 3. Polling places will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday through Monday, and from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 3, Election Day.
In Sonoma Valley, the in-person polling locations, which may be different than a voter’s usual polling place, will be:
• Moose Lodge – Sonoma, 20580 Broadway, Sonoma - South
• Finnish American Home Association (FAHA), 197 W. Verano Ave., Sonoma – Northwest
• Sonoma Valley Veterans Memorial Building, 126 First St. W., Sonoma - Northeast
• Berger Center – Oakmont, 310 White Oak Drive, Santa Rosa - East
