Two people suffered injuries after an early morning scuffle on Saturday, Oct. 31.

Sonoma County deputies and Sonoma police officers were sent to the area around Riverside Drive and Boyes Boulevard at around 1:20 a.m. for a report of a person with a knife who was trying to start a fight in the street. When deputies arrived, they found numerous people in the street including two persons with stab wounds— one was the suspect and the other was the victim. The juvenile suspect physically resisted and tried to pull away when deputies tried to arrest him.

Both the suspect and the victim were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect, a juvenile, was cited and released on charges of felony assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor resisting arrest.
