Sonoma students fundraise for food bank

Rotary quadrupled the club’s donation.|

Sonoma Valley High School’s Interact Club raised $200 pre-COVID selling concessions during a school play. When the pandemic started, the club decided to donate the money to Redwood Empire Food Bank. Club members asked Sonoma Valley Rotary to match it, and were thrilled when Rotary quadrupled the donation for a total of $1,000. SVHS rising senior Meg Jernigan is president of the philanthropic club.
