Spousal injury

A Sonoma woman was arrested after initially calling police on her husband for allegedly tackling her during a Super Bowl party on Feb. 12 at 11:16 p.m., Sonoma Police Sgt. Scott McKinnon said.

Sonoma deputies spoke with the Sonoma woman, who said her husband was drunk and tackled her, pulling her hair.

Deputies then spoke with the husband, who was asleep in his bed, and observed bloody scratch marks across his torso, his upper back and neck, McKinnon said. The man told deputies he was asleep in bed at 11 a.m. when his “wife came after him,” but he would not elaborate further details because he did not want his wife to go to jail.

During interviews with deputies, the wife screamed at deputies and kicked one of them. Based on the interviews with both the wife and husband, deputies determined the wife was the primary aggressor, McKinnon said.

Police arrested the 43-year-old Sonoma woman for felony domestic violence and felony resisting arrest, McKinnon said.

Aggressive behavior

At 9:22 p.m. on Feb. 10, Sonoma police headed to the 500 block of Napa Street, where a man allegedly threatened another person with a firearm at the Chevron gas station, McKinnon said.

The suspect fled toward Safeway in a white Lexus, causing deputies to make a “high-risk” traffic stop.

Deputies spoke to the reporting party, who said the suspect approached the victim in an “aggressive manner” and told the victim to make his son stop staring at him, McKinnon said. The victim said his son was playing games on his phone and attempted to de-escalate the situation.

McKinnon said that at one point the suspect pointed to his waistband and said, “Maybe I should just shoot your (expletive) right now.”

Deputies did not locate a firearm in the suspect’s vehicle. Deputies interviewed the victim and his son who said neither feared for their life, so no arrest was made, McKinnon said.

Lost property

On Feb. 10, a woman reported to Sonoma police that she lost a $3,500, 40-inch white gold chain and diamond necklace, McKinnon said.

The woman stated she was wearing the jewelry when she left her room at MacArthur Place and went to Lou's Luncheonette to eat, McKinnon said.

When the woman left the restaurant, she noticed she was not wearing the necklace and could not locate it. The necklace has not been found, McKinnon said.
