The Sonoma County Commission on Human Rights will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 28. The virtual meeting will look at a wide variety of topics, including SDC, a spotlight on Homeless Action Sonoma’s Annie Falandes and the upcoming sheriff’s candidates. Thursday, Dec. 30

Monday, Jan. 3

The Glen Ellen Forum holds its regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. The two-hour meeting takes place on Zoom, find the link at glenellen.org. The group aims to keep the community informed on “topics of interest,” which range from SDC to tourism.

Tuesday, Jan. 4

The Valley of the Moon Water District’s board of directors holds its monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Directors and the public may participate in person at 19039 Bay Street, El Verano; or remotely via Zoom (find the link at vomwd.org/boardmeetings).

Wednesday, Jan. 5

The Springs Municipal Advisory Council will meet virtually at 6:30 p.m. This council represents the best interests of residents and businesses in the Springs, Agua Caliente, El Verano and the surrounding area. In addition to the usual committee reports, this meeting will feature a resolution on SDC. Thursday, Jan. 13

The Sonoma Planning Commission is scheduled to meet on Jan. 13, at 6 p.m., at City Council Chambers, 177 First St. W., Sonoma. The commission meets on the second Thursday of each month. The agenda will be posted at sonomacity.civicweb.net.

Tuesday, Jan. 18

There will be a special joint meeting of the Sonoma City Council and the Design Review and Historic Preservation Commission on Jan. 18 at 6 p.m. The event will take place on Zoom — find the agenda and access link at sonomacity.civicweb.net.

Wednesday, Jan. 19

The Sonoma City Council will next meet on Jan. 19, at 6 p.m. at City Council Chambers, 177 First St. W. COVID-19 protocols are observed. The meeting will also be livestreamed on the city’s CivicWeb Portal at sonomacity.civicweb.net. In February, the council resumes its normal schedule of meeting on the first and third Wednesdays of each month.
