Sonoma Charter School accepting applications now

Lottery set for March 12.|

Sonoma Charter School (SCS) is now accepting applications for transitional kindergarten (TK) and kindergarten enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year.

The charter school is a tuition-free public school open to all children in grades TK through eighth grade. Admission is determined through a lottery process.

The SCS curriculum for TK/kindergarten program focuses on:

● Hands-on, project-based learning

● Integrated science and social studies

● Mastery of letters, sounds and simple words

● Simple addition, subtraction, and early algebra

● Development of life, personal safety and social-emotional skills

● Ability to tell a story, express an opinion and ask questions

Those interested in applying to attend SCS can download an application at sonomachargerschool.org or call 935-4232. Completed applications can be hand-delivered or mailed to Sonoma Charter School, 17202 Sonoma Highway, Sonoma, CA 95476.

The application deadline is March 5, with a lottery drawing on March 12.

To arrange a campus tour, call 935-4232 from Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Located in Agua Caliente, Sonoma Charter School was established in 1993.
