Studio 35 has unveiled the winners of its Soaring Over Sonoma call to artists competition. Barbara Jacobsen’s collage, “Dreamflight,” was the top winner out of 37 entries depicting the theme. Ten other artworks were chosen including those by Erica Schmitt, Ty Krauss, Mark Zukowski, Doug Graham, Ann Hollister, Jackie Lee, Donna Fanara, Angela McLaughlin, Melissa Stone and Jim Callahan. All works are on display at the Studio 35 Gallery through Oct. 26 during gallery hours: Thursday through Monday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The public is invited to view the wide array of submitted art ranging from photography, paintings, collage and sculpture. Studio 35 is located at 35 Patten Street, in Sonoma, a block south of the downtown Plaza.

Judges in the competition included artist Mario Uribe; Kristen Madsen, executive director of Creative Sonoma; Jonny Westom, new executive director of the Sonoma Valley Visitors Bureau, and Wendy Peterson, previous executive director of SVVB.
