Police beat: Woman charged with 14 felonies following Kenwood theft

A 45-year-old female transient is being held in Sonoma County Jail on $700,000 bail after being charged with 14 felonies and numerous enhancements.

At around 9:45 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 26, a resident in the 9000 block of Frederica Avenue in Kenwood reported that someone entered the residence and stole electronic equipment and other miscellaneous items with a value in excess of $6,000.

On Monday, Sept. 27, property crimes detectives from the Sheriff’s Office arrested Michlynn Rose Thedorf, 45, a transient. In her possession, detectives reportedly found items that had been stolen from the residence. She was booked into Sonoma County Jail on seven counts of felony burglary; one count of felony possession of stolen property; one count of felony identity theft; one count of felony robbery; two counts of felony unlawful use of tear gas; one count of felony receiving stolen property; one felony count of failure to appear and 42 different counts of enhancements. As of Oct. 14, Thedorf hadn’t posted bail.

Friday, Sept. 17:

5:04 p.m. – Deputies were sent to an incident in the 700 block of Watmaugh Road and arrested a 49-year-old Sonoma resident on charges of battery on a person after a road rage incident, and resisting arrest. The suspect was booked into the Sonoma County jail.

Thursday, Sept. 23:

10:32 a.m. – A resident of the 500 block of Lasuen Street reported that he was the victim of a fraud. The victim noticed suspicious activity on his bank account and discovered that a bank card was sent to an address in Florida. There were two requests for funds totaling $9,900 that went through. The victim reported the incidents to his bank.The Sheriff’s Office and the victim’s bank are investigating the incident.

1:58 p.m. – A resident in the 18000 block of 1st Avenue downloaded a program onto their computer which allowed a hacker to access their bank account and personal information. The incident is still under investigation.

5:20 p.m. – A brazen thief stole a catalytic converter in broad daylight from a 2006 Honda Accord that was parked in the lot at Adele Harrison Middle School. The victim parked her car at 8:20 a.m., and when she returned at about 3:15 p.m., she discovered the theft. While there is a surveillance camera, the footage captured was poor. Police think they’re looking for a white Chrysler 300 with no license plate information.

8:10 p.m. – Officers were sent to a domestic violence incident in the 600 block of West Spain Street. A couple who have been in an on-again, off-again relationship got into an argument and the male reportedly punched the female in the face. The suspect was gone when officers arrived. The victim refused medical treatment and a report was sent to the District Attorney.

Friday, Sept. 24:

1:39 a.m. – A suspected intoxicated motorist ran her Mercedes into a Jeep parked in the Safeway parking lot in the 400 block of West Napa Street. When officers arrived, they decided that the motorist displayed signs of intoxication and proceeded to have her perform field sobriety tests which she failed. She refused to perform a preliminary alcohol screening, which she was required to do as part of the terms of a prior DUI conviction. At the police station, she blew a .23 and .24 on a Breathalyzer. The 32-year-old Sonoma resident was arrested on charges of driving under the influence and booked into the Sonoma County Jail.

3:32 p.m. – A resident in the 17000 block of High Road reported that an unknown person or persons forced open a side door at the residence and stole electronic items and jewelry. The total amount of the jewelry was $200, but it was unknown what the value of the TV was. Deputies have no suspect information.

5:40 p.m. – Deputies responded to an incident in the 18000 block of Manzanita Road. Two juveniles were riding in a school bus when three other juveniles began threatening them verbally. At one point, one of the three juveniles brandished a knife at one of the two juveniles. The incident is under investigation.
