Local grad to launch new all-girls high school in Sonoma County

Gianna Biaggi is a Sonoma Valley native and a graduate of Sonoma Valley High School. She is currently a New School Creation Fellow at High Tech High, an education charter school incubator in San Diego.

Through the fellowship, Biaggi is working on the design and creation of the Global School for Girls (GSG) a free, all-girls public charter high school that focuses on community service, leadership and international travel, located in Sonoma County.

The school currently has its eyes on a prospective opening in fall of 2022, with the first class of ninth grade girls.

Biaggi is hosting a community meeting on Monday, Nov. 16, at 5:30 p.m. via Zoom for families and community members interested in learning more about her work and the Global School for Girls.

Families interested in joining the community design team, and being involved with the design and creation of the Global School for Girls in Sonoma County, are invited to attend.
