Library hosts flamenco dance troupe

The flamenco dance group, Cachito de Flamenco, will perform at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at the Sonoma Valley Regional Library.

Un Cachito de Flamenco is a performing group that incorporates spicy music, beautiful dancing and powerful singing to create an exciting show. Santa Rosa-based flamenco teacher Sara Maria leads Cachita de Flamenco. Maria artfully combines her flamenco and classical ballet training into her flamenco dance style. Maria describes flamenco as “powerfully raw – happy, serious, fast, slow – full of passion and contradictions – just like life.”

This flamenco music and dance show is for all ages, family-friendly, free and open to the public.

The performance is sponsored by the Friends of the Sonoma Valley Library. The Sonoma Valley Regional Library is located at 755 W. Napa St.
