Hot air balloon nearly blown into Arnold Drive vineyard

Don’t worry, it landed safely.|

Early Tuesday, a commercial hot air balloon moving over Sonoma got trapped in the morning breeze, leaving it dangling low over the Sebastiani Winery vineyards that run along Arnold Drive.

The operator spent a few minutes trying to use the flame to pull it up and back into the air, but the winds kept pushing it down.

The balloon was able to land safely in the open field near the corner of Watmaugh Road and Arnold Drive.
