Honoring sweethearts

It was heart-to-heart indeed at the Sweethearts Gala, as more than 370 Valley residents (and beyond) packed the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley Saturday evening for its annual Valentine’s fundraising dinner and auction. The event, billed as a “celebration of life – the past, present and future of Sonoma Valley,” was filled with plenty of life of its own, as attendees sipped the Valley’s finest wines, noshed on gourmet foods from Elaine Bell Catering and showed their tremendous support for the Boys & Girls Clubs’ six local locations. No estimates to how much was raised were available at press time, but if the more-than $50,000 that the live auction took in by the time the entrée was served is any indication, it was a very good night for the youth of Sonoma Valley.
