Sun Salutation

If the old bones are creaking and you wish that they weren’t, try yoga. If you’re soul-weary and stiff, try yoga outdoors. The verdant sprawl of B.R. Cohn Winery is the ideal place to namaste-away those unfortunate grunting sounds you’ve been making when you get out of a chair, replacing them with the balletic grace and untroubled osteology of an ingenue. It’s the perfect exercise, really, undertaken in the perfect place, and if that doesn’t make you grateful, nothing will.

Saturday, July 17, 9 a.m., Wine Country Yoga at BR Cohn, 15000 Sonoma Highway, Glen Ellen, $30.

History Comes Alive

When was the last time Charles Krug and Count Agostin Haraszthy had a chance to talk? Truthfully, maybe never. But they’ll chat it up on Saturday afternoon on how they created “wine country,” in a dramatic lecture in front of the Champagne Cellars. The Count aka George Abbott wrote the script, and enlisted fellow thespian Carlo Ligotti for the 30-minute play that forms the centerpiece of Buena Vista History Day, with performances at noon and 2 p.m Food truck, live music and wine to accompany the theatrics, it all begins at 11 a.m.

Saturday, July 17, 18000 Old Winery Rd., exploretock.com/buenavistawinery. Free, but reservations required.

Bard in the Garden

They say di Rosa by any other name would smell as sweet, but you won’t know until you go. Wander the garden gallery in the Shakespeare Summer Stroll, a presentation of scenes and monologues from some of his most beloved plays, interwoven with the outdoor galleries at di Rosa. It’s no sit-down show, but an enchanting hike through a curated sequence of scenes from tragedies, romances, comedies and of course A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Sunday, July 18, 2 pm. di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art, 5200 Sonoma Hwy, Napa.

Order Up

Ready to blow the diet in style? Bank a few calories and then splurge on a fried chicken sandwich at Lou’s. The Luncheonette fries chicken like nobody’s business, and was even specially recognized by the gourmands at Sonoma Magazine when they tallied their short list of best chicken sandos in the county. Lou’s version is served spicy, piquant, or 5-alarm hot, so come ready for heat ‘cause this sandwich brings it. And wear an elastic waistband. You can get back to the diet tomorrow.

Wednesday to Sunday, July 21 to 25, 2698 Fremont Dr., lousluncheonette.com, $10 to 14.
