Free pop-up COVID testing in Sonoma

One day only, this Saturday, Aug. 8.|

Sonoma County’s “Pop-Up” COVID testing service is coming to Sonoma Valley for one day - from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8.

The program is sponsored by the Sonoma County Department of Public Health and is open to all.

Those wishing to be tested must make an appointment in advance at 565-4667; a doctor’s referral is not needed and all results are confidential Those being tested will not be asked for insurance or ID.

The test is free of charge and a person does not need to have symptoms to qualify.

According to county health officials, positive results can be expected back within 48 to 72 hours and negative results within 5 to 10 days.

The testing will take place in the parking lot at Highway 12 and E. Thomson at the Park & Ride.

Testing is also available in Sonoma for $149 in the Sonoma Community Center parking lot, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. without a doctor referral and it is open to anyone, with or without symptoms.
